Speaking

What can I say, I love the limelight
It doesn’t matter if I’ve got my MC or speaking hat on; whether I’m running an International Women’s Day event on stage or delivering my Cultivate your Career WorkOut online – Guys, this is my home. My zone.
Yet, for 15 years of my career, I didn’t think of myself as a speaker. A Coach? Qualified.
A facilitator? Accredited. But not a speaker. So I focused my energy offstage, building a career in Learning and Development. I always stepped up to speak when the opportunity arose, but it took a while – and a good deal of MC experience – before I was ready to own my speaking superpowers.
PASSION + PRACTICALITY: THAT’S MY THING…
My standout moments as a speaker are seeing someone note down something they can actually take away and do, or commenting in the chat box that they’ve gotten unstuck. On stage (or camera), I’m all about energy, yet I’m serious about getting people to take accountability for their own ambitions and actions. I share models and activities that are simple yet game-changing and have been told I make people feel free to be themselves. But that moment people just get it: that’s why I do what I do.

I can think, plan and problem-solve while speaking to an audience.

Three proud moments as a speaker:
MC-ing an International Women’s Day event in 2018 at London’s Barbican, with Dame Stephanie Shirley and Ruby Wax OBE, and 1,700 people in the audience and livestream.
Delivering an online New Year’s talk for a tech company called, ‘Fresh thinking for the year ahead’. Practical, fun content that was relevant for global colleagues.
A bespoke deep-dive into issues arising from a staff survey, for 50 people at a leading London university.
What participants say:
